Bartolomé Amat
(Barcelona, ¿? – Madrid, 1850). Militar y escritor. Intervino en la Guerra de la Independencia (1808-1814) hasta su incorporación como profesor a las academias militares de Cádiz (1811-1814) y de Alcalá de Henares (Madrid, 1814-1822). Fue director del Colegio General Militar. Obras: Rápida ojeada sobre las fortificaciones de Barcelona desde Felipe V hasta nuestros días (1827), Memoria sobre el canal de Amposta y un diario sobre los asedios de Gerona en 1808 y 1809.
