Vida y obra Cursó estudios de metafísica, lógica y filosofía en el seminario de Sigüenza (provincia de Guadalajara) y de humanidades en la Universidad de Toledo. Se trasladó a Madrid y estudió Medicina y Cirugía en el Colegio de San Carlos. Influyeron en su formación el anatomista Juan Fourquet y Muñoz y el cirujano Diego de Argumosa y Obregón. Se licenció y doctoró en Medicina (1852).
